TNA Spoilers and Rant 11/1 11/8

11/1/07

*TNA champion Kurt Angle did a promo inside the ring promising to learn who Sting's partner is at Genesis. Sting says his partner is a former WCW and WWE World champion who hates Angle. Kevin Nash comes out and beats up Angle. BORING!

*Kaz beat James Storm in a Fight for the Right semifinal. Looks good, the Fight for Your Right Tournament has been going pretty good.

*Team 3D cut a promo running down the X-Division. The Motor City Machineguns run them down on the mic. 3D gets into it with them and goes under the ring to get tables but they are nowhere to be found. The X-Division (XXX, Sonjay, Havoc, Shark Boy, etc.) attack 3D, bring tables from backstage and lay them out. I still don’t know who is facing 3D, hopefully the Guns and they put Sabin and Shelley over.

*Awesome Kong defeated Christy Hemme. Once again, boring.

*TNA Women's champ Gail Kim & Samoa Joe defeated Ms. Brooks & Robert Roode. Roode blames Brooks for the loss and goes after her. Gail Kim and Samoa Joe make the save. Joe and Roode brawl into the crowd. Lots of blood and a good brawl which saw Roode's "fan" (Rain from SHIMMER) try to get involved. Does look pretty good, Joe and Roode know how to work.

*TNA announced Junior Fatu would not be there tonight. (Note from Mike: I'm waiting to confirm but I believe he's done. Stay tuned). Christian Cage will face a mystery opponent. Yeah, Fatu is gone. WOOHOO!

*Christian Cage defeated Chris Harris in a Fight for the Right semifinal. After the match, Cage attacked him with a ladder and a top rope frog splash. What’s up with the ladder now, are they going to have a Ladder Match. That will be good and so will this match.

*Kevin Nash tells Kurt Angle that he knows who Sting's partner will be and he'll be there next week....Scott Hall. Untrue, don’t buy into it.

*TNA Tag Team champions AJ Styles and Tomko defeated LAX. After the match, members of the Latino Nation ran off the champions, who then brawled with the Steiners. Looking forward to it, just why do the Steiners get involved. I don’t mine Scott, but get Rick off my TV now.

*In the Fight for the Right final, Christian def. Kaz after AJ Styles and Tomko interfere. Matt Morgan comes down and says he rules it a no contest and since he is in charge while Cornette is away, he makes a rematch between the two in a Ladder Match at Genesis. This will be awesome. Cage is great in Ladder Matches, and Kaz is good at flying off of stuff.

*We have just learned that Scott Hall and Booker T are backstage.

*Gail Kim def. A random jobber. After the match Roxxi, ODB and Angel Williams all come down until The Motor City Machineguns makes the save. Yawn; don’t get into a cluster f**k.

*Team 3D def. Abyss and Jay Lethal after Black Reign comes out to brawl with Abyss, who leaves Lethal. After the match, 3D beats on Lethal with belts.

They are taking down the ropes for an amateur Takedown Challenge. WTF is a Takedown Challenge

Takedown challenge: Scott Steiner was beating AJ Styles 4 to 3 before Tomko came down and attacks. Rick Steiner makes the save. What? I hope they’ll do the match right.

Sting, Samoa Joe, and Eric Young def. Kurt Angle, James Storm and Robert Roode. Looks like another good match.

Next was an in-ring promo with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash, with some mentions of the Kliq. Hall says he is not Sting's partner. Kurt Angle demands to know who it is. Sting comes back out and says Angle has to wait for Sunday when its showtime. That's the end of the Impact taping.They are now taping an Xplosion match.

Xplosion: LAX & Sonjay Dutt def. Triple X. Why are you jobbing Triple X on Xplosion? Still looks like a very good TNA Today match.
